Sales Marketing……………………………

Without an effective sales marketing strategy, most businesses would fail within a very short period of time. By simply putting a product or service on the market without the proper research and planning, the chances of finding success are almost nonexistent. While there are isolated cases of success with very little sales marketing preparation and practice, any business that wants to be successful understands the importance of sales marketing. Even products that have already undergone an initial sales marketing effort can begin to see improvement with the consistent introduction of new sales marketing ideas and techniques.

One of the most common ways a business can begin looking at how to come up with effective sales marketing strategy is to look at the words that make up sales marketing separately- marketing and sales. By taking these two words and then proceeding to produce itemized lists that indicate areas that need improvement can make a manageable foundation on which to build new sales marketing strategies.

Begin with the market that a product or service is geared towards and reassess the information that is currently known about that particular market. It might be necessary to hire independent research firms in order to learn more about a target market in order to get new information for new sales marketing ideas. Make a point to note what products or services are being purchased and how effective the current sales marketing plan is working for those products. Those ideas might be applicable to other areas that aren?t as successful. For the products that are already producing reasonable or exceptional sales, consider what can be done to sell even more of these items to existing and new customers. Consider markets aside from retail that may not have been previously looked at like corporate, industrial, bulk and institutional markets.

Next it is time to consider what sales marketing strategies are being used by the competition and how effective they are for them. Think about how to expand the current market of a product in order to make it more profitable. Consider joining forces by packing a product with another company?s product if they could complement each other and be an irresistible package to the consumer. For example, if a photographer wants to generate more business, a new sales marketing strategy might be to join forces with a florist where both benefit from making referrals to each other. A floral and photo package might be just the niche most couples are looking for in order to have the kind of wedding they want at a price they can afford. A look at the supply chain and a business?s position in relation to the overall market in order to assess where change is needed and for ideas on new sales marketing strategies.

After looking at the factors that affect the sales marketing of a product, it is time to consider key factors for a new sales marketing strategy. Consider new promotional ideas for each product or service, think about if the price of the product or service should be made more competitive, maybe the service or delivery of a product needs to be addressed and unique new ways in which to build a loyal customer base.

Coaches, Are You Getting Results From Your Newsletter?

Are you a coach? Are you getting results from your coaching newsletter? By results I mean newsletter coaching clients, teleseminar participants and ebook buyers.

Many coaches hire me because their online newsletter is not getting them clients and teleseminar participants. I have seen many coaches spend a lot of time on writing their newsletters, but they are still not getting the results that they want. They are not getting clients, e-book sales and people to attend their teleseminars.

If this sounds like you, I can help! Take a look at this plan to determine why your newsletter is not bringing in the results that you want:

- Your newsletter subscriber list is not targeted at all. Many coaches have heard that the larger your e-mail list is, the better results it can bring. Therefore, they promote their newsletter list everywhere and invite everyone they meet to subscribe to it.

You can get more people by inviting everyone you know to subscribe, but if the subscribers on your newsletter list are not targeted, you will not get results by sending your newsletter to this list. To get clients and buyers from your list, subscribers on your list have to be members of your target market.

- You don’t send your newsletter to your subscribers often enough. To get the best results from your subscriber list, your subscribers have to hear from you often. This way your subscribers get to know you better and better every time they hear from you.

I recommend that you publish your newsletter on a regular basis. This is the most effective way to get your subscribers to get to know you, your business and your offerings. People buy from people they know. When you publish your newsletter on a regular basis you help your subscribers to get to know you better.

- Your newsletter list is simply not large enough. If you are already doing everything right, including getting targeted newsletter subscribers and publishing an interesting newsletter on a regular basis, and you are not getting results that you want, this is because your e-mail list is not large enough.

You should remember that not everyone on your newsletter list is going to become your client. You need to have a large enough list so that even if only 2-8% of your newsletter subscribers buy from you, you can still get sales on a regular basis. Make sure that you grow your list every day. Working on getting newsletter subscribers every day will help you get results from your newsletter.

Your list needs to be targeted and large and you need to publish your newsletter on a regular basis to get results.

Working out what your niche market will be to start your home business is something that can give alot of people heart burn. This is where you put all those great ideas you have had for your business into a plan of action. Give yourself a number of options to work over. Some will be fantastic and some won’t fit. It’s important to have more than one, so you always have a back up when you start a home business.

Before you spend all your time working on a website and writing up eBooks, you want to be sure that your customers are going to be interested in what you are selling. Do your market research. Once you have an idea, see how many other competitors are selling a similar product – this is a good benchmark of your potential success. Spend some time in forums and discussion groups to see exactly what it is people are looking for…this will help define your target market. If you already have an email list, send them a survey to see what they are most interested in.

Most internet marketers preach that there are three reasons why a customer will want to buy your product. Your product has solved a need for your customer. Your product has made life easier or more comfortable for your customer. You are very passionate about your product and it shows in everything you do.

Use Google when doing your research for your Niche.Amazon.com and find the current top sellers. Find out what people are reading about. You will want to research keywords with keyword tools such as www.wordtracker.com. You need to discover which keywords are being searched for frequently.

Doing a little poking around your competitors sites isn’t a bad idea. This is one method in branding your company. Take a look at their traffic rankings and their related links. You can see how many visitors they have each day and how profitable their company is by analyzing this data.

Once you find your passion, ask yourself does this serve my customers. You want to provide an excellent service to each and every person that spends their money with you. This reduces complaints, negative reviews, and, worse of all, chargeback’s. Niche marketing is the key to developing a profitable business that will make you stand out from the crowd. By doing the necessary research and building an informative web site, you will become an expert in your niche marketing field.
